After months of trying to cram all the makeup products that I use on a daily basis into a tiny Cath Kidston cosmetics bag, I've finally discovered a method to store them that I'm 100% happy with (at the moment!!).
Now, I can't take any credit for this method because it's actually something that I learnt whilst watching a 'Makeup Collection and Storage' video by Meg aka MeganIsobel on YouTube.

How I Store My Daily Makeup Products
I store my daily makeup essentials in a clear vase that I picked up from Tesco.
I'm sorry but I really can't remember how much it cost - I don't think it was more than £5!!
Why I Store My Daily Makeup Like This
The main reason why I store the makeup I use daily in a clear glass vase is because it allows me to see every single item in there, making it much easier to grab things as and when I need them.
So, that means I don't have to rummage around in a tiny makeup bag trying to find an eyeliner or something, which I used to find extremely frustrating before.
Isn't The Vase A Bit On The Small Side?
In a word; yes.
However, if the vase was any bigger I would just cram items of makeup in there that I wouldn't really use on a daily basis, despite my good intentions to do so.
I think this vase is the perfect size for me because it has just the right amount of room to fit in all the makeup products that I'd need to create my every day look.
Don't get me wrong, sometimes I do use items that aren't in the vase, but I think storing my daily makeup essentials in this way will be really useful when I start my new job soon - eep!!

this is such a good idea! i use an old jewellery box that sits on my vanity and it just holds my daily make up but i might give this a try, it looks really cute as well.

DeleteI was cramming all of my products into a makeup bag until recently too, Im now using a tray with different sized compartments which works quite well. I like the idea of the clear vases, they look nice and compact too like they wouldn't take up loads of space x
